We are a small, young group of Vietnamese volunteers with the support of some international volunteers. HPA’s mission is to provide a no-kill shelter with adequate care and treatment for lost, stray, and abandoned animals that we rescue. Also, we make efforts to increase their adoption opportunities, as well as find permanent, and loving homes for them. Last but not least, we promote responsible pet ownership through education, community outreach, and collaboration while maintaining respect and compassion for animals.
Established in 2015, we have rescued over 4,000 cases and re-homed hundreds of dogs and cats.
Before founding Hanoi Pet Adoption in 2015, Quynh used to actively participate in dog and cat rescue missions for a few years. It is hard to imagine her huge energy source from a lady who looks small and young. Her dedication has saved hundreds of animal lives, and her positive energy has connected pet lovers to become a helpful community. Her biggest dream is to build the most beautiful and comfortable animal shelter in Vietnam.
Hanh became HPA’s volunteer in 2020 with the main role in cat adoption screening. She’s a cat lover who has 4 cats now and one of them was adopted from HPA. Being impressed with all the incredible things that HPA brings to the rescued dogs and cats, Hanh decided to spend her free time to contribute more to HPA. As a teacher, she understands the importance of raising children’s awareness of animal care and protection. Therefore, she is always willing to take part in most of the discussions with students to spread the words.
Hien started her volunteer for HPA in 2018 to help with fundraising fairs and translation work. After that, she got involved more in adoption interviews and also foster activities. With her rich experience in communications and events, together with HPA's main partners, Hien has helped organize medium and large scaled events for pet lovers in Hanoi, including Barkfest, Running Paws, Hachiko Festival and HPA Garage Sale. Hien is now working to polish HPA's website as well as planning for future fundraising campaigns.
Phuoc has an incredibly deep bond with cats and dogs since she was young. While studying and living abroad, she still regularly monitors and supports rescue activities in the country, as well as feeding stray dogs and cats daily.
Currently, Phuoc is a HPA volunteer to interview fosters & adopters, facilitate the operation as well as regularly participate in rescue activities and foster cats and dogs while looking for their new homes.
