                      Foster Parent

Fostering an animal in need is one of the most rewarding experiences! Sometimes pets need fostering due to health, age or temperament. Opening your home to an animal not only ensures that they will stay healthier and happier while awaiting adoption, but it saves lives by allowing us to add more animals to our program!

                      • The foster parent is responsible for providing shelter, food, water, toys, socialization and love to the foster pet(s).
                      • When needed, the foster parent is responsible for administering medication, ensuring a special diet is followed, and/or continuing necessary training. All vet bills will be covered by Hanoi Pet Adoption at our appointed vets. The foster parent are welcomed to share the bill if they wish for.
                      • The foster parent is responsible for monitoring medical and behavior of the foster pet(s) and reporting this information to the foster coordinators.
                      • The foster parent are welcomed to help us look for potential adopters, and do not transfer the fostered pet(s) to other foster parents or adopters without the approval from HPA.

                      Volunteers Update information online

Every day we receive many rescue cases of abandoned dogs and cats, so there is a lot of information that needs to be updated on the Web. For example, new photos, vaccination schedules, sterilization, new photos, treatment details, new babies' personalities...etc. If you have a lot of time online and can occasionally visit the shelter, the clinics update the babies' information to match and detail them so that the babies can soon have owners and those interested in the rescue group can know.
